washington is pretty easy,
I have my concealed pistol license here in wa, it was $60 and a background check at the local sheriff's office, with that, and cash, I had my new XD in a few short moments. I don't know what states Wa honors, but it's easy to get yours here (as long as you're not a trouble makere) and it's good for 5 years |

No restrictions save for class 3 though there are loopholes if you're law enforcement, military on duty, or a gunsmith working on a class 3. Other than that there are no restrictions on magazine capacity or assault weapons. There are actually some class 3s around that were owned before the law was passed.
