Newbie from Indiana

First time gun owner. I bought the 4" 9m XD. All my buddies who have other guns, Glock to S&W keep telling me different ways to clean the gun.
I was at the local gun show yesturday and the Glock booth "Glock cleaning only" Was to use a rope through the barrel and clean everything with baby wipe's and then use a light lube in 4 places ( on the slides) The lube was in a tube and it was clear ( I cant remember the name of it )

Question is How do you clean your gun?? I go to the range about once a week and shoot 75 rounds or so.

And I love the XD

Welcome from Tx.
I use a brass bore brush and bore cleaner to clean the barrel and a tooth brush and bore cleaner on the slide and frame. Then I wipe down the slide and all metal parts with oil.
