Hi Gang,
I have owned guns for many years and enjoy shooting when I have the time.....which is never enough. My primary interest is self-defense. I carry wherever it is allowed. My primary carry has been a Glock 27 fitted with a Lasermax until now. Since I acquired my new XD 45 service it will become primary and the glock a backup. I hope Lasermax offers a unit for the XD 45 soon. I have been real happy with the one in my glock. Well actually I don't like the switch but for a laser which becomes a part of the gun, I can live with it. Now if they would make one which activated from the grip safty of the XD that would rock!

I picked up some Corbon Power Ball for a defense load. Has anyone here said anything positive or negative about this load in an XD45? Perhaps after I have had time to get to the range and test drive this baby a little

I'll have some more questions. So far I am impressed with the look and feel of the XD 45 and there seems to be many here who love it. I am going to Walmart or Bass Pro tommorrow and stock up on some range ammo and get some snap caps. This is the first 45 I have owned. I already went to one of the sponser's here and ordered a couple of holsters and an extra mag. If all works out well at the range and after I get the holsters etc. I ordered I plan to make the XD my primary carry.
