Alright guys, I'm not exactly new, but I have a few questions about words and/or symbols used throughout this forum.

First, what the heck does "Bump" mean?

Last, What does +1, or +2 mean. Sorry if these are stupid questions, but it's killing me not knowing. I feel like I'm missing something.

Bump is a generic forum term (you'll also see TTT :To The Top or BTT : Back To Top).

In order to understand "Bumping" you have to understand a little bit about how forums like XDTalk work.

In most forums the order a post is ranked in the list is dependent upon two things

1) It's Age

2) How many replies it's had (recently)

So when people "Bump" a post (aka Thread) they are inputting a reply in order to move it towards the top of the list.

This generally happens when a replier agrees with what the original poster (OP) said and wants others to view it, but doesn't have anything he feels is valuable enough to input himself, or when an individual wants to move his post closer to the top so that others are more likely to see it
(AKA The Shameless Bump).

+1 is generally just term of agreement for anyone that says anything that the replier agrees with. It's pretty frequently used, and occasionally is used sarcastically. Basically it's like saying "Great Idea" or "Damn Straight".

By the way, welcome to the forums, I've only been here a little while too but I've found most people to be exceptionally kind and helpful.
