Hello all, I am fairly new to the forum and would like to extend my thanks for all the info contained here. I have found several answers to questions that I have had, and when I was unable to find the answers received good input from those that have been here longer than I when I posed a question.
I recently received my first purchased handgun, all others have been given to me by family members or inherited, one was even a college graduation gift from a good friend. I have toured many other firearm forums, and thus far I have found this to be one of the most polite, informative, and well managed ones. Thanks all for the work and research that has been compiled here, I have a strong feeling I have found my firearms forum home.

Thanks!
No I haven't been out to the EG range yet, hopefully this weekend (I just picked it up 2 weeks ago). but that is unlikely, unless I can talk my buddy from Colorado who is flying in on Fri. to go. I don't believe in CA gun laws so nearly everything I own is kept out of state. This is the only in state firearm I have. I picked up a XD 45 ACP. Now I'm looking at the PT1911 by Taurus, but I really don't want to over do it on handguns. Don't get me wrong I LOVE shooting but really IMHO all you really need are a couple good handguns, a shotgun, and one low caliber rifle, and one high caliber.
