My first gun = XDM
Hello everyone! New member and gun owner from the state of Georgia. I bought my first firearm today. I purchased the Springfield Armory XDM .40 caliber with a 4.5" barrel.

I purchased the gun primarily for home defense and also to become more familiar to firearms (specifically handguns) and shooting in general. I have always treated firearms with a lot of respect and care (only used them a handful of times) and I am taking a safety class in a couple of weeks.

I have lurked on the site for the past couple of weeks and I am glad to finally join and be one of the many XDM owners. I look forward to learing a lot.

Welcome from a fellow Georgian, you selected a great product in the .40 XDM, I utilize mine on a daily basis as it is a most reliable and efficient firearm.

Welcome from Colorado! I too just purchased that exact same variant of the XDm. Yesterday I put 150 rounds through it and it cycled flawlessly. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I'm sure you will be pleased as well.
