New XDm 40 owner
Hi every one. Fairly new here, I've been creepin for a little bit. I chose the XDm 40 mostly off of reviews, etc to be a ccw, and home defense. And I seem to have a common problem of shooting down and to the left. I've gone through about 250 rnds, so it should be somewhat broken in. After some googling I see that grip, and trigger control are the usual suspects. But how do I improve it? What grips should I be trying or focusing on. And what do I do to improve my trigger pull? Thank you in advance. off topic: I wish I got a 9mm since 40 is expensive.
Edit: I just wanted to clarify: XDM .40 3.8

Welcome from Mo! I think they all shoot like that, my 40 does but I simply adjusted my aim and I have a pretty good pattern at 20 yards. Can't say much about grip and trigger, I'm happy with mine. I originally ordered the 9 but my LGS messed up and ordered wrong one. He got me the 9 and its on layaway now.
Have fun, be safe.

Congrats! Welcome! And keep shooting! Pick up some snap caps and dry fire and concentrate purely on trigger control. Watch the front sight and ensure you do not have to little or too much of your trigger finger into the trigger guard. It will come to you with practice.
