just wanted you all to know
Hi all, just wanted you all to know that even though i havent been posting, ive done a lot of reading over the last few days and you have me pretty much sold on a XD 9 (not sure is service or SC yet). seeing as i just turned 21 last month this will be my first handgun purchase (i have some rifles). i was leaning heavily on a glock 19, alas, it is not so anymore. .i think i wanna buy a glock 20 some day just for kicks. .but seriously. thanks a lot, in a couple weeks ill be the proud owner of an XD.

welcome to the forum!!
while I (and others) are biased, i think you made a great choice. be warned... your decision b/w SC or service is purely academic as you will probably be accumulating more than one XD.

FWIW, I went for the XD-9 Service because I do not carry, and that extra inch (no jokes now!) on the range can matter. Welcome!
