New XD and No Ammo
New owner of a XD9 service compact. Ready to get to the range and try it out, except all i have right now is an expensive paper weight. Finally found some 115 FMJ on Cabela's, can't get here quick enough.

Yeah best of luck to ya. I stopped by my local walmart for a box of good ol' WWB in .45 auto and got very lucky that they had them. I talked to the guy and he said they stocked the shelf full of 9mm that morning, I glanced back at the completely empty shelf in disbelief.

I guess the benefit of .45 being so darn expensive is that it doesn't get completely bought up as soon as it comes in!

Welcome!..might wanna start scouring the usuals for ammo. Most locals are reporting out. Seems like a huge disappointment! Like getting a new toy for christmas but no batteries....Good Luck!
