First time handgun owner from SC! (CCW reccommendations?!)

Welcome! I'm from NY and recently applied for my pistol permit. I am still waiting to hear back but I did put a down payment on a XD9 SubCompact. I was also concerned about the grip only allowing two fingers but was told Pearce makes a great grip extension for the XDSC that allows your pinky to stay firmly on the firearm. I've seen it as cheap as $7 on Amazon but I'm sure you can find it in any local gun store.

Does anyone who uses the extension have a problem with pinching where the extension meets the frame? I realize I won't even feel a little pinch in a SD situation but I'd like to be able to practice frequently and comfortably with my carry gun.
