Gonna ride into town, a whompin' and a whoopin'...
Howdy all, found this place after doing searches on various other forums due to my newfound interest in the XD. My shooting backround starts with the 1911. I have two Colts (of course!), a series 80 Govt and a pre-XS CCO... which is my pride and joy.
My convoluted way to the XD involves the 10mm. I became interested in the caliber, and ultimately tried a Glock 20 at the rental range. It was the first time for a glock, and also a 10mm. I found both easier to handle than I was anticipating, though I still do not like the thickness of the Glock. So, afterwards, I went and checked out the guns for sale and met the XD. My hand loved it more than the Glock. I have yet to shoot one, though the range has at least one XD-45 for rental. I am looking forward to shooting it with some trepidation... I know I will probably want to buy one on the spot. SWMBNW (she who must be negotiated with) will have to be consulted with before making this purchase. However, I do have my "mad money" that I can buy ANYTHING with... just don't have the fundage there yet. I'm glad to be here, will be reading alot. I already have a question to ask, but will have to search first. Thanks, Mongo aka Mongo523 on other gun forums. |
