I just assumed I would be buying the PRP trigger; after a little garage dry firing, now I am not so sure. To the range!!!

I am very fortunate to live in a town (Tulsa) that supports monthly matches of both and am looking forward to stepping into the box with the XDM.

Another new guy in OKC. Just brought home an XD(M) 5.25 in .40 caliber last night. I have been shooting Beretta for years. Own 5, compete in USPSA with three of them.
Haven't shot my XD yet, to busy trying to figure out what of my comp gear will work with it before next weekends monthly shoot. Know I am going to have to have three more mags for Limited so I will probably be shooting my 96FS this week. That will give me time to get to know the Springfield. Looking forward to it! Where do you shoot? Around Tulsa?

I shoot at USSA mostly and occasionally some long range rifle at Red Castle with some friends. I shot the USSA Steel Challenge today. I only had 150 rounds through the new XDm before today so I was a little shaky, but so far zero malfunctions and a breeze to shoot. With all the heat, I can say the grips become a little slippery. When I got home I ordered some grip tape along with a Blade Tech holster (the holster that comes with the XDm was workable, just not optimal).

There is a ProAm next Sunday that I might give a whirl. After that I will be shooting my first USPSA classifier.

I know it is a bit of a drive from OKC and there are plenty of matches down there, but USSA is a nice place to throw some rounds.
