what are club dues like? the one I go to with friends in Menomonie is 20 bucks annually. Don't think it is required as every day they have been open. They do however have a donations box which I'll pitch 5 bucks into every time I go.
Its never too busy either.
I'd stick with that, Oakdale is kinda snobsville. Think it's like $200 a year or something stupid, and they look at you funny if you don't have some pretty over/under. If I'm down in LaCrosse I go to The Library and John's Bar, Coconut Joes was full of squish too. God only knows if those places are still the same, guess it's been a few years
Sounds good. Menomonie's range isn't too large. But if it isn't busy, (usually isn't) its a great place to go. RSO's are really nice, everybody there is friendly, if you see something you've never shot or are interested in, chances are the people who own them wouldn't mind if you were to send a few rounds down range with it.
They have an area for clays and shotgun patterning, but for that, Whispering Emerald Ridge isn't much further out. They have a great sporting clays course that they switch up, as well as an indoor 5 stand.
