New to XDm from MO
Hey everyone,
Just got my first pistol on the 15th of NOV and was lucky enough to get a SA-XDm .40 3.8in. Been in the Army/reserves for 9yrs and have decent experience with the M16 but very little experience with other firearms. Have been to the range several times and love the feel of the XDm over the other range pistols available and the firearms some of my friends have. Would welcome any advice on becoming a more competent/accurate shooter and any other tips/must haves with the SA/XDm line. Thanks for allowing me to become part of the Family!
Dustin

Welcome to the forum from PA and thank you for your services. Best advice anyone here can give to a new gun owner(hand gun for you) is to take lots of range visits to get lots of practice.
Good luck and great choice in firearm.

Welcome to the forum from Jefferson City from an old Army Vet.
You made a great choice with the XDm. Range time is the best teacher. Work on grip and trigger control and you'll do fine.

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service. Practice practice practice. Don't be ashamed of being in the 3-7 yard range. Think of it this way when you first started riding a bike you need training wheels. Also take a look at this to help you correct your grip etc.
