5 WEEKS have passed and the PD claims they haven't received my FBI check back yet! Really?! Anyone else have it take this long? I'm tired of READING about XDm's! I want to start shootin em!

DPS conducted the checks and cashed my check on June 7th. Just called Waterbury PD. No bogus "waiting for fingerprints" line this time: I was simply told that I have to "wait to receive the letter". As of right now (8 weeks), I know that none of my references have been contacted and my employment hasn't been verified. hmmmm....

XDad, wow, I am sorry this is happening to you. How frustrating it must be!!! I feel like a total jerk for complaining about the 10-day wait here in California.

I hope you are now at the tail end of the wait!

Maybe this'll help: in California, we have a "list" of guns approved for purchase (at least new) and the XDm is not one of them. So, while I shot my new XD40 last evening for the first time and loved it, I'm still restrained by Kalifornia's socialist constraints.
