Hello from Maryland!
Hi there.

My name is James. I'm a college student over in Maryland.

I recently purchased an XD9 service model. I've only had it about a week, but I came across this forum when I was looking into trigger modifications for it -- you folks seemed to be an extremely knowledgeable bunch when it came to everything XD.

As for a little about myself: I started shooting BB guns with my dad when I was about 8 years old. When I was twelve, he bought me a pellet gun. Once I got into high school I stopped having time to shoot, really. Then once I graduated highschool I bought a high powered, scoped pellet gun to hunt vermin that were eating my dad's garden.

After I turned 21, I went to go shooting with a friend of mine at a local range, and remembered how much I enjoyed the challenge of target shooting. A different friend of mine, when I mentioned that I was considering purchasing a handgun, recommended that I check out these new "XD" pistols.

Well, that's enough of an introduction, I suppose. Thanks for having this awesome board here!

@ IGM-DC: Right now I shoot at On Target over by Ft. Meade. I'm considering trying to get a membership at the 12th precinct pistol and archery club. I've always preferred shooting outside, and they are the closest outdoor range that I've been able to find.

@SpringerFan: No. I'm a UMBC retriever! Go big dogs!
