Hi guys,

I purchased my first handgun last weekend, an XD M 3.8 9mm. Put 50 rounds through it at the range the day i bought it and i had a blast. I work in IT and post on a lot of message boards so coming here to learn and get a better understanding of how things are done makes sense to me. I look forward to lots of knowledge transfer, if there is anything i can do to help you just ask

A friend of mine who lives downstate gave me the gift of a NRA membership this week. I've always had a 12ga. shotty for home defense but longed for a handgun. I turned 40 a few months ago, maybe this is my midlife rebellion lol. I've had a lot of turmoil in my life the last few months and it's great to have a new hobby. I think my mother is morning the loss of her liberal son
