Hello, new guy here, and just got my first handgun
Hey guys, I just got my first pistol. Its an XD9 Subcompact. I got in a trade for an ATV, and had about $350 tied up in it bone stock. I had planned on selling it, but after a few hundred rounds and a couple of accessories later, I love it and Im keeping it. Im in the Navy, so Im not new to handguns, but this is the first one Ive owned. I love it. The last couple of weeks Ive added a Streamlight TLR-3, Crimson Trace, Pearce Grip Extention, and Trijicon Night Sights(not installed yet). Im looking at getting some custom work done, so here I am, proud owner of a new XD. Thanks guys.

welcome from Minnesota
I'd definitely rather have the sc more than an ATV
on getting custom work done, put some rounds through the sc first, to see what you like/dislike, then decide, after puting more than 1800 rds through my 45c, i might get a trigger job, but it shoots well enough, so maybe not

I was more thinking about custom cosmetic work, not so much custom mechanics work. I love the way it performs. But after seeing some of the different colors and chrome jobs yall guys have done, I wanna do something to change the looks. I wont be modifying the mechanics any time soon. There is one particular SC on here with a blue slide that I really like.

gotcha, I love the look of my all black XD, but there are some pretty sweet custom colors on some of the ones out there, maybe making the lettering green... now you got me thinking
