Newbie from Sacramento - XDTalk Forums

Good day to all of you. My name is Brent and recently bought an XD9 Service. So far, so good. Took it to the range Saturday and it ran 350 rounds with no issue. I have been hovering for a while now on this forum

and from reading the posts I decided on the XD instead of some of the other choices. That is exactly how I feel now. The XD is really shooter friendly, I mean it's so forgiving. I have just picked up handgun shooting and plan on going into some idpa contests. Anyways, like I was saying the gun is very forgiving and simple to operate. I am always checking in on the fourm to see your guys projects or range reports and I will now be making my own range reports.

Anyone in the Sacramento area send me a message. I am about to loose my shooting partner/ coach for several months. I will post a pic of one the targets I brought home. In all it was a productive day. Starting off with simulated 25 yard targets at 5 yards, then going out to 25 yards. I finished off with some more close in shooting. The target below is from the last series at seven yards. I have really been working mostly on my grip and slowing myself down concentrating on trigger control.
