Hi Everyone
Hi All,
Been lurking for a lil while so I decided to go ahead and sign up. Been shooting all my life (mostly shotguns and rifles, but I have shot .22's, .38's, .357 mag, and a .45 acp) but have never owned a handgun until recently. Lots of robberies in my neighborhood recently so I decided to get a pistol for home protection/recreational shooting. After lots of research and renting one at a local range, I decided to go with a XD40 SC. I have also purchased a Crimson Trace laser grip and have a 9mm conversion barrel and mags on the way. So far I absolutely love this pistol! I also have a Concealed Weapons License on the way. My girlfriend lives with me and I am starting to get her into shooting as well. The 40 is a little much for her so that is why I got the 9mm barrel, also because 9mm ammo is much cheaper(when I can find it). I have put around 450 rounds through it so far and never had any type of malfunction until today. Was at the local range and had it fail to feed three times using Magtech 180gr ammo. Have not had any problems with any other ammo type (Federal eagle, Fiocchi, or Blazer) just the Magtech. Anyone else out there have any issues with this ammo? Again, justed wanted to say Hi to everyone and I am excited to have found this site. lots of great info and knowledgeable people here. Scott |

Welcome from Missouri. The 40sc is my most frequent daily carry (sometime I run with a 1911). I have not used any Magtech yet, but I do have it in my inventory. I guess I better run a box or two and see if it fouls me up or not. Any other ammo I have used in the XD's runs through without a problem.
