Took the XD out on the bike today

I took my XD40 out on a two hour motorcycle ride, open carry. I was expecting to get pulled over at some point, but nothing! I used the stock POS XD gear holster and cranked the retention screw down to ease any worries. It bounced around but never moved inside the holster. I was pleasantly surprised that having a full size on my hip helped with tailgaters more the my reflective vest for night riding. I feel so much safer on my explorations being armed. I dont care about many things in the south but you gotta love open carry states.

same here in texas. Well except I dont really like riding in the 97+ degree heat.
