Pilot Powers were once the premiere sportbike tire to have for trackdays.

very little has changed year to year in terms of tire technology for racers. academic differences in some cases.

hosrsepower and torque are not going to wear out a tire any faster on one bike than another. most people can't even get all that power out of them under normal driving circumstances. IT's all about tire pressure for the riding your doing and remember that tires increase in pressure as they heat up. I got 7000 to 7500 regularly on an 06 cbr 1000 dynod at 143 at the rear wheel

If mileage is what you want, get a sport touring tire. If you want to ride it hard occasionally then try something with a dual compound.
