pilot road or something is what I have on my r6, they have been really good.

When I was riding a lot, I would go through 2 back tires to every one front tire.

And I was just riding, no burnouts or sliding or anything like that.

edit: Just realized this didnt say what I was wanting...communication...*cough*
With the pilot roads They have lasted almost 3 years for me, the rear tire that is. Now I only ride about 500 miles a year now, marriage...

I've got 4k on my pilot powers on by CBR600 F4i. Mostly commuting(80 each way), some twisties, tires still look like they've got more than half the tread before the wear bar.

Before that I had a set of BT0-16's that I put 7k on before they exhibited a noticeable loss of traction.

I'm really not sure how people are getting <2k miles on tires unless you're really pushing it.

I'm not a sportbiker, but I would stay away from metzlers! A buddy of minew had one shred after 2500mi. It came apart at the sidewalls.

Fwiw I run dunlops on my skoot. Psi 40&40. Air and suspension does indeed play a role!

I ran Pirelli Scorpion Syncs on my 2004 XB12R and loved em. Great handling, grip and good mileage!

I run michelin pilot road 2's (after pulling about 12k out of a set of pilot road 1's)...Insane grip and ridiculously long lasting (provided more grip than I could have imagined when I went to the dragon/blast around the KY backroads every weekend). If I remember correctly, Busa guys are getting insane mileage out of them.

They seem to be the perfect "all rounder" tire for me, as I do a 50/50 mix of highway and backroad driving, as well as getting caught in the rain once or twice (they were extremely impressive in the rain!)

Supposedly the road 3's are even better...seems hard to believe though.

As far as getting the most life out of a tire, plus grip in the wet, and max grip all in one tire...they're pretty hard to beat.

Michelin Pilot road 2s wore out!

10,672 Miles on a Michelin Pilot Road 2

^Busa guys are pulling 10k miles out of them on the backroads of georgia!!!

i used to work at a bike shop as a part time mechanic. like some have already said i think pilot roads will be best suited for the type of riding you described. they are more of a sport touring tire so they should give you much better mileage than the corsa 3 or pilot power. if your not a very aggressive rider you will not notice the switch. just be aware of the fact that they will not be as sticky as the softer compounds.

Coming from having a Hayabusa that made 350rwhp before the 100 shot of NO2 I think grip is everything. I went through alot of tires. Mickeys for the track is the best. For the street I ran Bridgestone 010s. I could always find some sort of traction with them

mickeys are good...for the drag strip. Bridgestones, I havent really seen too many people use those besides street racers

Sportbikes I only run Perrelli. The rubber is softer and they don't last as long, but they grip the Tarmac like no other IMO
