shipping a shotgun
I need assistance in the proper way to ship a shotgun. My uncle wants to hand me down my great grandfathers shotgun. I'm sure it was made around 1860's and may not have any serial numbers. My question is this, does it need to be shipped directly to a lisenced dealer or can it be shipped to my home. I feel I'm not purchasing the old shotgun and should not have to be bothered with red tape of a gun shop. Afterall, this shotgun is now considered a paper weight and should not be fired anymore....
Can anyone shed some light on this matter?
