Replacement Sights for new Mini-14

Hey Gang,

Santa bought himself a new plinker for Christmas. Took it to the range today with my number one elf. We had a blast. It loved the $5 box of 20 from Academy Monarch ammo. I noticed how the front and rear sights both suck, much as described all over the interwebs.

Does anyone have any personal experience with and can you suggest a replacement for both ends?

I want a military style rear sight with seperate adjustment for wind and elevation. I would like the front sight to have either a single post or at least a white stripe on the center for better acquisition.

Thanks and I am loking forward to the feedback.

The rifle was made for a scope...

I dont like scopes, so I use a Tube style red dot, and I will upgrade that to an AIMPOINT 9000sc when I get the money.

Thanks Magog, but I am sticking with iron sights. I have a rifle for long range with glass on it already. I want a quick acquisition on target iron sight 100 yards or less Zombie rig.

I have already ordered the Mo-Rod and Mo-Reaper for it to help with accuracy and heat issues. The Mo-Reaper will also include a new hooded front sight. The rear is the one I need. I am looking at possibly the Tech-Sight Mini200. I would like to use the factory Mini-14 Tactical if that is available.

This is exactly what I plan on putting on my Mini-14 as well. Has the white stripe AND the tritium vial for easier low light sight acquisition.
