I picked up mine standard model for $1150 used about 3 months ago but after accessories and what not, I have about 1700 in the gun. I'd get a used one with the old GI barrels over the new one any day of the week though.

m1a's are nice but now being the price where they are I would go for an ar10 by dpms they are more accurate and equally relaible.
If you have the cash though you will love an M1a I love mine, but upagainst my ar10 dpms .... the ar is more accurate

$729 for a Dragunov, its a romanian psl. Dragunov is $2000-$4000 depending if its chinese or russian, condition.

Before X-mas at the local Gander, they had an earlier Springfield (early eighties) with a TRW barrel and bolt, and probably alot of other GI parts (didn't tear it down) and they were asking $1600.....I waited a week to go back and negotiate price and it was gone...... 
Prices have exceeded my threshold of $1200, guess I have to realize we may not see them for $1200 again.
ditto on the DPMS, I love mine, but still need an M1a.....and an FAL.....and a ......!

M1 a springfeild loaded
Got mine last month $1320 plus tax and fees, brand new out the box , also got 20 rd mags for $20. Mags are working well just one little rust spot on each mag 1" from top and in fold of metal

Just bought a Scout Squad little over $1,500, through BGS. If I had waited could have gotten it for $200 less at LEO discount.
