Are the Kimber Kim-Pro Tac Mags good?

I went to the local pistol range who is a Kimber Master dealer and he told me that the Kimber mags aren't any good. He steered me towards the Wilson Combat and the Chip McCormick mags. I know both of those are good, but the only warning I ever got about Kimber mags was stay with their stainless. You guys know of any problems with Kimber mags?

When I got my Kimber they were out of Wilson COmbats, which I'd heard so many goo dthings about. So I got Kim-Pro 8 rounders instead. The first time I used each magazine it failed to fully chamber the first round. I've put 200 rounds through em now, and those initial failures are the only ones I've experienced. Will let you know if they keep behaving.

I just purchased 4 of them a couple of weeks ago and they performed flawlessly at the range Saturday.

Chip McCormick mags are good also.

I have used them and they are ok but my money will go toward Wilsons or ACT/Novak mags from now on.

I use Kim-Pro Tacs exclusively (8 in total), and never a problem. Find them very well made, and they have always been the cure to any feeding problems I have had.

THey are fabulous!!! Never had a problem with them. Prefer them over the all plastic wilson combat mags.

Kimber mags used to be made by CMC, and I believe that they still are.

I had some failure to feeds with my Kimber when I was breaking it in. All occurred with the stock Kimber mag. I've been using my stock SA 1911 mags since then and never had any problems.

Both mags look the same but the Kimber has a different follower and can hold 8 rounds, where the SA mags hold 7.

I don't have any problems with my SA mags.
