Ok OK,

I have been reading post on the RIA and Armcor pistols. So for the price they sound great. So do they make a pistol in 40 S&W, If so who do I contact to get one? I really like the 40 S&W ad besides then I can reload for the XD and the 1911 pistols.

I had a colt 25 years ago and really lked it and the Xd felt really similar one of the best reason I bought it. Now getting a twitch for a 1911.

Can any one help me here? I need some direction

I found a local store that sells them through gunbroker. When I looked up their address, I found that they're 1/2 mile from me, so I drove over and bought one. I know there's one dealer selling there in Phoenix.

As far as 40sw, I don't think they make one. They do .45acp and .38 super, that I know of. I don't know if they do 10mm even. One suggestion is to go to The M1911 Pistols Organization <==Link is a forum specifically for RIA guns. They'll have all the info you could want. They even have a company rep or 2 that read the board to answer questions.

Well I had a buddy that was searching hard for 40SW 1911 and he had very little luck. Apparently everybody either used to make one or plans on making one and theres no middle ground. Do yourself a favor and just grab one in 45.

Armscor makes one sold under their name but I dont think the RIAs have one. Heres the RIAs Centerfire

The Charles Daily 1911 is made by Armscorp, I just bout a used one, and like it so far.

Great info guys,

I called Armscor Dist. in NV and they do make them not many in 40 S&W. They say some might be of dealer shelves but they need at last an order of 200 but closer to 1500 to get into production runs.

I appreciate the help and I will continue to look for some thing like this. I like the 1911 frame and pointability I already have a 40S&W> I don't want to change caliber for ease in reloading. I don't have lots of cash around to buy the high end race guns custom made. I primary pupose is self Defense and Carry. BUT I really do like the range time.

All help is appreciated. keep up the good work.
