EMP Safety Removal

Has anyone removed the safety on the EMP for carry? The gun would have a much slimmer profile without the wide ambi-safety. How can this be done?

You might call SA and ask if they have a one handed version of the safety. (I'm assuming a safety from a full sized 1911 won't fit.) I wouldn't mind swapping the ambi for a right hand only myself.

Totally removing the safety would not be wise, assuming it could be done.
