Be sure to check our forum sponsors...Gilbertsguns.com sells guns for sure...not 100% on who else does.

Good choice...lots of happy RIA owners out there!

Cannot say enough good things about Phil at Bellshire.

Thanks, i needed to know of someone who is very reputable online. Ive never actually bought a gun online so im not familiar with how it all works. I think i have to have a dealer locally who will recieve the gun. Im sure they charge for the service. Can you guys fill me in on the details of buying online? Thanks again....

You will need to find an FFL that will receive the gun and do the transfer.
Cost is typically in the $20-30 range, plus the NICS call of $5.

The FFL on your side will need to send/fax a copy of their license to the shipping dealer.

Pretty easy, really!

Send a message via AIM to StrykerDM
Centerfire Systems, Inc. is there I got my RIA compact. They had the best price I could find. If you don't see something online, give them a call and ask. They're pretty helpful.

I've also used Bellshire via Gunbroker.com for my RIA Compact purchase. It's quite simple; the auction works like any other online auction, have a copy of your dealer's FFL sent to the seller, then visit your FFL when it arrives and you are able to pick it up. This requires liaison with your FFL at the time of purchase via auction. You're still responsible for any (if required) local paperwork for taking possession of said firearm. All in all, a very simple way to do business. I've only done it twice, but both times were quite smooth.

Do i want to make a bid on the gun and then get the FFl sent to them or send that first and then try to purchase that weapon?

purchase it,e-mail the seller with contact info, wait for a reply and talk to them on the phn with payment arrangements. pick a local ffl dealer talk to them about their ffl transfer fee and get them to send a signed copy of it to whoever you buy it from, then sit and wait impatiently for it to arrive oh and do post pics when you get one i've been waiting to actually find one around here
