I've been hankering for a .45. I already own RUGER P94, SW5906, SA-XD40.

Went to local gun store and asked to see XD45SC. Nice. l also inquired about other pistols in true "1911" style. We had not discussed price yet, so I was also shown a Colt Defender and a KIMBER Ultra CDP II.

I purchased the KIMBER, despite the fact that the KIMBER was twice the price of the XD, and a bit more than the COLT.

I have not been disappointed.

I just picked up a Kimber Raptor II. I was considering several others, but this deal was too good to pass up. I really liked the SA 1911's, but I got the Raptor for less than the SA. What Kimber did you get?
