STI Question

I'm thinking about adding another 1911 to the family and over the course of reading damn near every thread here I keep seeing something that has me confused.

Why are STI's NOT legal in California? I'm curious because NY is as bad as CA and I'm wondering if they are legal here?

CA probably has not "evaluated" this particular weapon yet.

I thought STI pulled out of CA because of the micro-stamping BS . . .

From STI's website:

Quote:
Q. Will the recent California Microstamping Bill affect California specific products?
A. We will be suspending all shipments of guns to California effective October 13, 2007. This includes everyone from civilians to Law Enforcement.

Thanks... somehow I missed the whole microstamping thing!

After a little reading on the topic all I can say is:

This kind of SH** pisses me off.

Remember to vote against this kind of thing and to contact your representative and let them know what you think about their voting records.
