Firestorm 1911 made by metroarms, philippines
I live in the Philippines and I have their commander model. Not sure if this is sold elsewhere outside my country but its an excellent gun for the money. Fit and finish is excellent! I just had to re-finish mine due to the checkering work done.
I have held and shot the Firestorm Government model (which I think is the equivalent to the American Classic at the US) and similar to my Commander, shoots great! Here is my piece. All internals are stock, just replaced the grips+hex screws, added an STI magwell, front checkering, msh checkering, and parkerized.

Stopped in at a local toy store last week. Looked at a desert warrior. Very Nice gun. Smooth action. Nice trigger - small take up, no creep, clean break. Next to it in the case was a Firestorm DLX. I figured it would feel like poo after fondling the DW. It didn't. To be sure, it's not a high end kimber, but the slide worked without a trace of grit and the trigger gave the kimber a close run for the money. No shakes, no rattles, barrel tight in the bushing. I can't say how they shoot, but now I'm pretty determined to find out.

I'll be buying one if I can find it at the shows... |
