Potential Problem with Para LTC?

I few months ago, I put a Para LTC on layaway at my local gun store. I've been paying on it ever since, and last week I took a firearms training class and was allowed by the shop owner to use the gun in said class so that I can get used to the feel of the gun. Long story short, when it came to the live fire exercise, everytime I put a round in the magazine, it would not fully engage . In fact, the mag would simply fall out of the well! But when the firearm is empty, the magazine would engage just fine. Since we were in the middle of training, we didn't have time to fully diagnose the problem, so I thought I would bounce this off of you guys.

Has anyone ever had an issue like this?

Could this be something a simple as a faulty magazine (we did not have a seperate magazine at the time to try it out)?

Or is this just a case of a firearm that needs to go back to Para to get fixed?

thanks in advance!

Sounds like a bad or broken mag catch, Para's are spotty on QC at best. Take this as a bad omen run ,run, run dont look back.
