Bought my first 1911 today

I went to my LGS just to look, that's all. I planned on buying a 1911 next month. They had this in the used case. Dude bought it, never fired it, brought it back & traded it for an AR-15. His loss, my gain. This was 475 OTD!!!

Now, I know that Taurus had all these "upgrades" in these shooters, but I just can't let it sit as-is.

Early mods look like this:
Wolff 18.5lb recoil spring
Cylinder & Slide Ambi Mag release (I'm a cursed Lefty)
Wilson Combat ETM Mags (at least 4)
Chip McCormick Rosewood Grips

Comments to the list, or add-ons/suggestions are always welcome. This is, after all the first time in my 50 some years, that I've owned a M1911

A S&A Magwell and possibly a Hard Chrome or NP3 Finish would set it off nicely.

Good for you. I own a PT1911 and use it for concealed carry on occasion. It is 100% reliable and fun to shoot.

Looks like a good deal to me. I would shoot, carry it around, shoot a bunch more, and then think about what I would do to it.

My PT1911SS is one of my favorite handguns. I'm sure you'll enjoy your Taurus just as much as I do mine.
