I am drooling over one now, and really want to buy it. They have been out for several years. If U go to the 1911 forums and research them - everyone seems to love them. I'v never heard any complaints.

I just got my Xd45 - and I plan to send it off for the competition trigger job. Now, I wish I would have just bought teh MC Operator, however.

I love my MC Operator. I've put quite a few rounds through it now and never had any issues. It shoots well and has manageable recoil even with +p TAP ammo.

Definitely buy one!

I have one with over 5k on it and it rocks! I've replaced the recoil spring and that's it for maintenance. I did replace the sear spring with a Wolff and cleaned up the trigger bow a tad with a file, but that's just OCD

SA Custom shop did my slide top serrations and checkered the rear of the slide...

Sometimes I just hate browsing on these forums... I WANT THIS PISTOL MORE AND MORE every time I see a discussion on it!!! I love my TRP, but want a 1911 with a light rail for home defense and additional reliability factor in case of adverse conditions... MC Operator is it!

Couple of questions... what's the benefit of the top serrations and checkered rear of the slide? Did the slide need to be refinished? If so, mind sharing the cost of such work?

I was planning on replacing the rubber grips with the TRP style (love the traction!) and put 30 LPI on the front of the grip, then refinishing the frame in black. If figure if SA will be doing that, I might as well do some custom work on the slide as well... just not sure of the benefit and cost?

Thanks bud, great looking pistol!

They do make TRP Operators...very, very cool (but obviously more expensive than the MC Op).
