I too can shoot the 1911 better than my Glock, its a much more natural pointer than the Glock and just seems to fit me better. I compensate for this in part by additional practice with the Glock.

I have considered going to a light framed 1911 to work on the weight issue but there are tradeoffs there as well.

i carry IWB at about 1230 so carrying my kimber pro carry is tough with the beaver tail safety. when i bend over it jabs me in the stomach

When I open carry I carry my Kimber TLE II in a blackhawk SERPA, now that is a good feeling!
