Springfield Loaded Coupon
To anyone who received the coupon with the purchase of a SA 1911, what seems to be the best deals offered on there?
Also, can anyone suggest a good 1911 accessories website?

Wow it's been a while since I had one of the coupons. I bought factory 7rnd mags with mine as it was my first 1911.

I bought 10 of the 7 round mags and a range bag.
Everyone seems to like the Wilson 47D mags but I didn't know about them before I stocked up on the factory SA's They still work fine tho. |

The adjustible rear sight looks like a good deal. I called SA Custom, they said it requires a Novak cut, and is a drop in with it. No night sights on it, but seems worth the price for a drop in adjustiable sight.
The bushing wrench seems like a good deal - but I don't know that for sure. Anyone? regarding mags what does anyone think of the offers on here: Welcome to the DPMS Online Store — DPMS: AR-15 Rifles, Parts and Accessories. Chapie+ Last edited by Chapie+; 06-04-2008 at 03:10 PM. |

How did it perform? Were you still on target or what? How does it go in / how did the other come out? Any chance of posting a few pics of the sight in place? I would really appreciate it if you could. Chapie+ |

Here are the instructions I received from prophotodude,
"If you want to post pics, you need to move your pics to a web hosting place such as Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket It's free and very easy to upload your photos on there. After you upload your photos, you will see 4 boxes under each photo. The second box down says "Direct Link". Left click on that once and your picture will be copied. Now it's time to post it on XD Talk. So start a new thread or post into an existing thread. Once you start your thread, you'll see a button above the area in which you're typing. The button that you're looking for looks like it is yellow and it looks like there's a cartoon-ish picture of a mountain. Click that button and a window will pop up. In that window, a box will appear that will have "http:/" written in it. Erase that writing in that box and after you do that, right click your mouse and choose the "paste option". It will paste the picture that you copied from photobucket into the XD Post. And that's all there is to posting pictures. Hope I have helped, good luck!" Quote:
Do I have that right? If the old is going out the right wouldn't it make sense for the new to come in through the left and go towards the right? I haven't done this before. Is there a video on how to do this or maybe a really slow step by step on it? Chapie+ |

I was told there is a slight taper to the dovetail so you put it back in the same way it came out. I use a brass punch
