for me .. Remoil evaporates too fast, am using Breakfree CLP, and I like it, but I haven't gotten used to the smell ... I use FP-10 after cleaning.

Hi,

I've lurked for a bit and decided there was a slim chance I could offer something useful here, so ... here goes.

I've become a convert to George Fennel's Weapon Shield. I've tried other gun oils (Hoppes, Remoil, Breakfree CLP) and have run my 1911 on a homebrew of Shell Rotella T Synthetic 5-40 mixed with molybdenum disulfide grease and WeaponShield is now my go to for all my firearms. The aroma is just a plus.

best,

I have as many different gun oils as i do guns!

I have (and use) Breakfree, Hoppes elite lube, wilson combat lube, weapon shield, and rem oil

I use break-free to clean (all guns), wilson lube on my 1911, weapon shield on my AK and 870, and rem-oil on my marlin model 60.

No particular reason, they all run good on said lubes so i figure il just keep it the way it is.
