Where is the EMP made?
I am curious about where the EMP is made. Does anyone know?

I was under the impression that all SA firearms(other than the XD) were made in Geneseo IL.

Some of the 1911 pistols are made in Brazil. A lot of the 1911 frames are made in Brazil. Some of the rest of the parts are made in Brazil.
Can't tell you for sure where the EMP parts are made nor where the pistol is put together.

+1. IMBEL forge the frames. I think they also do the STI frames.

Thanks guys. Not that it matters that much, I was just curious. I found a new EMP locally and have developed a terrible itch.

If I recall, the EMP is forged in Brazil but all assembly/fitting is done in the SA factory in Illinois. The lower model 1911 like the Milspec are assembled in Brazil.
