It's been a fantastic 1911 for me so far - my only complaint is the blue version finish is weak. That aside I'm about 600 rounds into mine with no issues thus far. Very accurate.
Have fun!

Yeah I am not crazy about the finish. I may send it to Accurate Plating in Alabama to get it redone sometime next year

Brighton arms has them for 579 plus tax and background. So I would say about the same. I work there part time so I get a slight discount. One with a tactical rail is 609 plus tax and background.

Excellent review. Try to shorten and condense it a bit next time.

I paid $599 with the factory night sights.
Robin48 - let her show some age before you spend the money on a recoat. I plan to do the same but not for awhile. I shoot on BLM land where lots of people shoot so there are small pockets of places here and there that could use an earth day cleanup. Lot's of small bottles and other junk lying around. The day I got mine I was nailing random targets like I have never hit before. That 1911 SA trigger had a lot to do with it. I clearly remember sighting on a little hobby paint bottle about 20 yards away with it and nailed that little sucker first shot. Mine has been totally reliable and way more accurate than I am. I'm happy to have such a suitable first-time 1911 for under $600. Will I graduate up in the future? Youv bet but this gun is a shooter and I doubt very much that I will sell it to fund another 1911. I plant o shoot the hell out of it for a long time.
