As for the above post, I just smile every time I pull the trigger on mine.
I have one and use it for Concealed Carry use when traveling. I trust it that much. It has been flawless. Friend of mine owns two of them and has yet to have a problem. There was a guy on another board who had an issue with his. He sent it back to Taurus and had it back in less than a month but you find guys on here who have had issues with XD, so no one is perfect. Post a range report for us when you get out! |

I too bought a PT1911 a month ago and have had no problems after 600rnds. I read a lot of reviews and forum comments before I decided on the Taurus. Most of the negative things I read were from snobs and haters but the customer service problems I did take note of. I still felt for the price and features it couldn't be beat. If I have a problem with a part I'll replace it my self. They are simple to work on and there are a ton of parts out there. 1911s are notorius for being part whores anyway. I'm happy with mine. The trigger is sweet and the slide and barrel bushing are as slop free as any done by a custom shop. So far it will shoot SWC, Gold Dots and XTPs without any problem. And it can out shoot me for now. Not bad for $559.

Wow. This is one sweet shooting weapon. I was surprised to be honest. I have shot 300 rnds and it just gets better and better. In a Blackhawk Askins holster it is comfortable to carry. I am happy with this. I am not to worried about customer service. I work part time for a great gunsmith.
