I've carried a Charles Daly 1911 MS (4 in barrel, full sized grip) before...I went ghetto style and just tucked it in the waistband at about 1:30-2:00. The only thing I didn't like was the grips felt like they were sanding the skin off of my body. I should get a better IWB holster than the blackhawk nylon general firearm one.

S&w 1911

i carry a full size smith 1911 daily, it took a couple of days to adjust to the weight, now its just like putting on your watch, or putting your wallet in your back pocket. i carry the 5"s.s. in a i.w.b holster. like the amer. express commercial, i don't leave home without it..
