Some good carry ideas there.

Thumbs up

I just posted this on M1911.org, but here's a copy....

Well, you wanted a fat guy....

I'm about 6'1", 310#, although I was a bit lighter when this was taken. The holster is from DeSantis - a "slide" type with retaining strap. Ultra barrel-hoop Wilderness Trainer - can't remember the model. The gun's a Para PX745EM, which is essentially a GM clone with Para's PXT. This one's a blue paint finish, and that kinda wandered off in the picture. The shirt's a "square bottom" type, worn outside the pants.

(I generally always dress that way if I'm not wearing a sport jacket.)

I should add that I use the same holster for two smaller 1911's, or a Don Hume 726H for the little ones, which has a cutout front for a slightly quicker presentation. I have the same two holsters for my XD-9SC, too, come to think of it, but the Don Hume lacks the front cutout.

Regards,

Colt Defender in an Akers flatsider holster. Sometimes I carry my Wilson CQB in a BH Serpa holster. Gotta love them flat 1911's!

I alternate between a Kimber Pro Carry II (4 in) and my XD9SC. Both ride in Blade-Tech IWB rigs nicely.

Para Ordinance P12 w/ extended beaver tail safety. Duo Tone Slide. and I can't remember what it was called but I had the bushing replaced so that the whole slide slid off without having to mess with a bushing.
