Kimber Pro Carry ll or a Les Baer TRS
I carry every day, all day. I noticed many folks, like myself, favor the light weight 4" Kimber. Maby this info will help those who carry ANY 4" Kimber. Your rechoil spring is the same as the 3.5" barrel Colt Off. Model. Wolf Springs makes a spring ( Stock No. 32725 ) For all Kimber 4" they call it "Improved" spring. It cured a brief "nose dive" and "bolt over base" malfunctions I had after replacing my stock rechoil spring at 1,000 rounds and the problems began as above. I talked with a very savy fellow a wolff ( dont want to use his name with out permision ) who developed the improved spring, and the Kimbre now runs again like a Rolex. It also seems to me the rechoil is a little less sharp. Have a gooden |

I was using my 4" eclipse yesterday in a USPSA pistol match and it started having problems going into battery. Excellent info!

Another vote for the Kimber Compact Custom. 4" all-steel on an "Officer's" frame, pre-Series-II, with XS "Small Dot" night sights....
Or, a Para CCO, a 3.5" stainless LDA that's otherwise similar to the Compact Custom (factory night sights). In foul weather, a full-sized Para GM clone, or a Para Tac-Four (think "double-stack Commander"). My XD-9 SC is for lesser occasions where a real lightweight carry is desireable and a P3-AT isn't enough. Regards,

I carried a 5" 1911 for almost ten years. Early I used a Royal Guard holster then I found Blade Tech and carried those ever since. As I got older the 1911 became heavier or I weaker so I moved to a Glock 17 for a short haul the XD 45 changed that for me. The XD is w/ me almost all the time now!!
Once or twice a month I put on my old trusty 1911 and carry it a day or two just for old time sakes

Kimber Pro CDP II with wilson mags in a Wilson Combat pancake holster.
I would love to get my hands on an EMP for summer carry.
