My first Springer 1911
Not usually a sucker for 1911's, but I couldn't resist this one. It started off as a SA Parkerized Loaded, and the slide was refinished by SA with their Nickel Teflon finish. The parkerized frame, nickel slide, and black alumagrips was just too much to pass over. Now gotta find time to get it to the range.

Nice!
I was also a sucker for a nice 1911....and also started as the Loaded. Added S&A magwell, front strap, match grade barrel and bushing (hand fit), upgrade spring kit, and sweet grips. Edit: this pic is before the magwell.... ![]()

I picked this up used on Saturday, and the gentleman even had the receipt for the work SA did. It was refinished in 2006 and cost $150 plus shipping at that time. It's the same as Robar's NP3 finish. The first time I've ever seen this type of finish up close. I think I like this even better than stainless as cleanup on the slide was as simple as running a cleaning cloth over it. Still feel like a kid at Christmas!

Damn. Nice pistol Philbo!
Let me know when you're tired of it and I'll be the first in line for it.
