New pt1911

I just picked up a PT1911 yesterday $535 out the door including additional purchase of two CMC mags, cqc holster, and a box of hydroshoks. My gun dealer is good to me. This gun is way more accurate than I am. It keyholes at 15m. I have found it a bit awkward to transition from gock (I have been using a glock at work for along time). I am going to have to work on my presentations and grip. I found a need to ride the saftey with my thumb otherwise I will inaddvertently engage the saftey. But it is a sweet gun. Next purchase reloading setup so that I can shoot more.

Pics to come when I figure that one out.

Sounds like you got a good deal. I think you'll be happy with it. I love mine.
I ride the thumb safety, too. I can't see how it would be a problem.

1st - This post is useless without pictures!!!

2nd - Keyhole usually means a tumbling bullet as it strikes the target, dramatically decreasing the bullet accuracy.

Shooting an "8" or kissing bullet holes, clover leaves, "L"s, ragged holes are good things.

Congrats on your PT 1911, you got one heck of a price on it!

Sorry my terminology is not up to par I will have to work on that as well as the pictiure. It has been a good gun so far no failures and its accuraacy is better than I can fully appreciate, so far. I have about 500+ rounds through some reloads.

Congrats on the 1911. I have one too and it is my Conceal Carry Weapon when I am driving long distances.

congrats on the new pistol man.
if you can get pictures of it on your computer save them on your desktop under new gun or whatever you'll remember.go to photobucket.com and create a free account, there then click on the tab that says my album there will be a section at the top that says choose files click it and it will open up a windo make sure you click on desktop and find the new gun file click it then click open at the bottom of the window,it'll download your pics of the gun and put them on your album in photobucket.com go down to the part under the pick that says IMG CODE point your arrow at the beginning and right click it, drag the mouse while still holding the right clicker down until the whole section is highlighted then left click it and select copy.come back to this thread and open up a new reply then left click in the blank area and select paste then click the post quick reply button and your photo should appear in your post..i hope i did not over explain this and believe me its not really that hard just takes a lot to type out the directions..

if you have a cell phone camera you can also take a pic of it with your phone and send it to your e-mail then save it to your computor on your desktop then follow the rest of the directions
