Three and a half Bobtails

Just thought I would post pictures of my 3 and a half (the oacp rounded butt done with a bobtail msh is the half) bobtails in one thread. I like bobtails so much that a 1911 that is not bobtailed does not feel right in my hand. I have a Sig Revolution 5" that I am going to bobtail and bead blast so it looks just like the carry sig in the pic.

Fusion custom bobtail

DW Cbob

Sig Carry Bobtail

Colt LW OACP

Those are excellent examples of fine pistols. Thanks for sharing!

Grip safety or wood grips? The wood grips are what I asked for, the grips afety what he usually uses and I like it. Fusion custom builds so you just tell him what you want.

Thank you, Fusion is owned and operated by Bob Serva and he didn't start Dan Wesson but Dan Wesson's 1911 line. You have to contact him to get one built and he's great to deal with. He has a forum section here with a link to his website:

I cut the bobtail in the sig and colt myself, so it only cost me the price of the bobtail msh, the cbob and fucion came with them. I have cut in several bobtails. I'm not sure the going price for cutting one in.
