Those are very good guns. I usually see them selling for alot more than 250...you did really well!

The Chinese make good guns...don't be misled by Made in China. I have a Chinese SKS and Type 53 Mosin that shoot great and are very well made guns. The Norinco AKs and Winchester 97 pumpgun copies are also very good shooters.

well hopefully it will work fine. also look at the ammo some guns just wont feed certain brands of hollow points so try a few different kinds if you can afford it.

Norinco's are generally good 1911's. They are definitely made of good steel. I've had several over the years. Some were really good, others were a little rough internally. They all have functioned perfectly, and I guess that's what really counts.

No I have a Kimber series II that also had failures up to the 175 round mark. After that the gun just worked. I don't think it was the Schwartz system that failed because in all instances, the hammer did not drop. Could have been caused by the tight slide-frame fit, or the 16# spring.

Now I want to test my 18.5# recoil spring and the polished feed ramp mod. Then JHP with a wilson combat mag and my Kimpro Tac mag.

I also just installed a Wolff 18.5 recoil spring. But opted out from installing the firing pin spring that came with it. I don't want to mess around with my Schwartz safety components.

These, plus the work I did on polishing the feed ramp will be tested today. I was supposed to shoot on Saturday as a birthday gift to myself, but if I run into issues, it'll ruin that day for me.
thats probably the best justification for an extra trip to the range i have ever heard.
im getting a 4" kimber pro carry soon. but i really want an old cheap one that i can fiddle with. i would have bought that in a second!

Oh man, you robbed that guy.

Norinco 1911s are great quality.

Hey, what numbers do you like for this next week's powerball?

Can someone explain to me the legal issues of buying Norinco 1911s? I read that it's almost impossible to buy one, but I am lost on why. Trade restrictions with China?

You can buy them no problem, No restrictions other then the ones for buying any other firearm. The problem is they are no longer imported so they are hard to find. All you have to do is find one that was imported before the ban was put into place.

BTW I believe there are 2 or 3 on GunBroker.com Online Gun Auction right now.
