My Loaded has full guide rod?
Can anyone explain what models have the full length guide rods... while others have the short stem type? Mine is a loaded frame, and I have the full length, therefor requires a different field strip method. Thanks., Buzz

If you don't like the FLGR, then change it out.
I initially did not like the FLGR when I got my Loaded, but decided to give it a try. I know that overall it is only extra weight. I am used to it now, so no big deal.

I just didn't like pressing down on that sharp edge to strip it down.
Sent an order this morning for new GI guide rod parts, springs, and ILS ditch

I don't necessarily like it either, but then I have the wrench.

I swapped mine out for a C&S full length 1 piece and use the base of a magazine for field strip, ever wonder why the base fits the cutout on the bushing?

LOL.. that sharp edge is painful.
Yeah, from a weight stand point it is cool I suppose. However, you guys are right.. that edge on the guide rod bushing... wow, that is a pain in the thumb... Not that big of a deal, just sort of wondering why some are that way and some are the other way??? Is it by model?? In other words, I noticed the match pistols and my Loaded, seem to have them. Could it be they put this configuration in the higher end Pistols? Just curious as to the "WHY" Thanks For The Input. BUZZ.
